New speakers announced for Buying & Merchandising Summit

Senior executives from Agent Provocateur, Clarks, Jacques Vert, Jigsaw and Mothercare – as well as the former eCommerce director from Maplin Electronics – have been added to the speaker line-up at this year's inaugural Buying & Merchandising Summit.

New speakers, who have all confirmed their presence for the event which takes place on Tuesday 22 September at London's Cavendish Centre, include:

The Buying & Merchandising Summit represents the latest offering from Legend Exhibitions, the team behind RBTE and Essential Retail.

The one-day gathering is set to provide a detailed look at the huge challenge faced by retailers as they try to keep up with the changing demands of customers. It has been designed to inspire and educate delegates as they manage their buying, merchandising and assortment planning projects in an increasingly complex marketplace.

Speakers from Adidas, Cath Kidston, Levi's, Net-a-Porter, Tesco and Topps Tiles were confirmed at the time of the event's launch, last month. Please click here to see a full list of the speakers already confirmed for the conference.

The summit aims to reflect retailers' modern-day challenges, where the focus has typically shifted from underperforming inventories – arguably driven by continued unstable economic conditions – to issues of understanding consumer preferences, innovating quickly and the dawning realisation that a reliance on promotions may ultimately be eroding their brands.
