Helen Galletley

Helen Galletley joined Tesco in 2000 as a retail graduate trainee after studying French and Italian at University College in London. Initially she covered all areas of store operations as a senior manager from Trade Manager to Personnel and Customer Service Manager, developing extensive leadership and technical skills. She became a Store Manager in 2010 and ran a number of large stores across Manchester and Yorkshire, owning the P & L for the individual store operations and leading teams of up to 300 people. 2 years ago Helen decided to make the move in to a Head Office role to broaden her career and to be able to put her experience to work developing future strategy, and now leads the Service Transformation team for the UK, heading up a team of project managers who deliver change projects to stores.

Helen is married to her partner, who is also called Helen, and they have a 5 year old son called Jacob. They live in Cambridgeshire, having recently taken the decision to move from Yorkshire, after Helen spent a year commuting to Welwyn Garden City for her new role.
