Zalando expands lifestyle with male beauty product launch

Zalando is expanding its beauty offering to men, with brands including House 99 by David Beckham now available on the German eCommerce website.

The male beauty category launches with 25 brands and 1,500 products for skin, body, hair and grooming.

The fashion retailer, which began offering beauty products earlier this year in Germany, is also extending the category into Austria and Poland before the end of 2018.

“We are happy with the launch of beauty for women in Germany. With more than 7,000 products from more than 150 premium and lifestyle Beauty brands, we managed to put a strong offer together,” said Claudia Reth, VP category specialities.

“We see that 70% of our customers also buy fashion products when shopping beauty, which confirms our cross-selling strategy by initial data points. This is why it’s the right time to add beauty for men, and roll out our beauty offer to Austria and Poland before Christmas.”
