Wayfair to open first UK pop-up

Online homes retailer Wayfair is set to open a two-floor pop-up showroom in London on August 1.

The one-day pop-up on 15 Bateman Street will provide customers with a preview of its Christmas range. Attendees can register to take a look at upcoming interior trends as well as enjoy nibbles and craft workshops. Trends include ‘retro Palm Springs’, ‘wild Serengeti’ and ‘Scandi Christmas’.

Visitors will be encouraged to browse and shop these trends and its wider range of products available online using iPads situated in the showroom. Customers can place orders to be delivered to their home.

This is the online retailer’s first taste of physical retail in the UK after revealing it would be trialling four pop-up shops this summer. Wayfair also announced the launch of its first store in Massachusetts in the US which will open later this autumn. Shoppers visiting the soon-to-open US store will be able to immediately purchase an assortment of products as well as place orders for delivery to their homes. Wayfair has also recently opened an outlet connected to its Kentucky warehouse.
