Superdrug to offer 30-minute click & collect

Superdrug has launched a 30-minute click & collect service across its entire store estate.

Shoppers will be able to check stock levels in their local store and buy available products to pick up in half an hour.

The retailer says 30% of online orders are collected from store the following day. The new 30-minute service will also be free of charge. Superdrug said it is offering the service to alleviate pressure on store staff to help customers find the last available item when there could be multiple SKUs, for example, shades of makeup or hair dye.

“We know our customers love the convenience of picking up orders in our stores and we know they want to live more sustainably – avoiding the emissions that comes from ordering deliveries to their home. Giving customers the ability to purchase online and pick up in 30 minutes with no charge is a key step in bringing our store and online business closer for our customers,” said Matt Walburn, UK eCommerce director at Superdrug parent company AS Watson.

“The test of the new system will be Black Friday which is going to be one of the busiest days of the year. We have some unbeatable deals for customers coming and this new service will allow our customers to find the deals they want while shopping online – and pick up the product fast.”
