Russell & Bromley opens Covent Garden flagship store

Footwear and fashion accessories retailer Russell & Bromley opened a new central London flagship store, on Long Acre in Covent Garden last week.

The store, located in a landmark site opposite Covent Garden's London Underground station, is part of the Mercers' Company estate. Covent Garden is a major tourist attraction as well as a prime retail area.

The store has been designed by the retailer's in-house team. Arranged over ground and lower floors, the unit provides 321.5 sq m (3,461 sq ft) of space. Russell & Bromley has created an 'enhanced and engaging' customer experience that highlights the craftsmanship and fashion-led design of its shoes, in a premium environment.

“Covent Garden remains a great home for our sought-after products and this prime corner unit opposite one of London’s busiest tube stations enhances our retail presence in the capital. Our frontage on the junction of Long Acre and Neal Street is significantly greater and will provide an impressive backdrop for our new seasons’ collections. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our latest store to kick off a very busy Christmas period,” said Russell & Bromley owner, Andrew Bromley.

“We have invested in redeveloping the buildings on Long Acre and the brand’s new store complements neighbouring units, including Boots and Vans, both having opened their latest UK concept stores earlier this year,” added Mercers' Company property director, Simon Taylor.

Family-owned retailer Russell & Bromley has more than 40 standalone stores. It announced that it has secured the Covent Garden site earlier this year.
