Pandora uses Quintiq to scale up productivity

Jewelry manufacturer PANDORA will double its production capacity with the adoption of an advanced planning solution from Quintiq.

Providing provide real-time visibility of production and enhanced operational efficiency, the new Quintiq solution will support PANDORA as it doubles its 2015 production capacity level by the end of 2019, and optimises production planning across the three crafting facilities where 95% of its jewelry was produced in 2017.

PANDORA designs, manufactures and markets hand-finished and contemporary jewelry made from high-quality materials at affordable prices, and its jewelry is sold in more than 100 countries on six continents through approximately 7,800 points of sale, including more than 2,400 concept stores.

Producing more than 120 million pieces of jewelry yearly and launches more than 500 new designs every year, and Quintiq’s solution will optimise utilization of production equipment as well as human resources by ensuring that the specialised craftsmen have the correct mix of skills to execute the planned production.

The solution will provide the agility needed to achieve high utilisation and on-time delivery while considering peaks in seasonal customer demand. By doing so, Quintiq will support PANDORA in significantly reducing production lead-time enabling them to serve the market with exciting new products faster, keeping up with demand spikes and build customer interest in its modern jewelry.
