Petco rolls out Yantriks omnichannel tech

US retailer Petco has deployed Yantriks’ Personalied Fulfillment Platform (PFP) for its buy online, pick up in-store offering.

It says that it has received more than 100,000 orders to date and has increased eCommerce revenue and the number of net new customers by more than 5%. The project was completed in less than four months and the feature is now available online and operational at all its 1,500 retail locations.

Previously, its technical architecture was comprised of multiple disparate platforms, prohibiting the ability to achieve a single view of inventory availability. The PFP integrated with all Petco inventory sources and customer profile information, existing commerce and distributed order management (DOM) systems. This provides customers with the option to view available inventory online, purchase products from nearby stores and pick them up that same day. 

Additionally, the PFP provides a foundation on which more personalised omnichannel fulfillment initiatives can be built. “We are committed to the highest levels of customer convenience – whether online or in-store – and our BOPUS project is a prime example,” says John Zavada, Petco CIO. 

“We knew we needed to deliver fast and sought a partner that had deep expertise and product offerings in this space. We could not have done it without the Yantriks technology and team.”
