Nike, Size? and Hero announce new online-to-store tech partnership

Online shoppers at footwear retailer Size? can now access instant advice from an in-store expert at the click of a button thanks to a new technology partnership.

Specifically in place for those shopping for Nike products, the service gives consumers a chance to talk to a member of staff to help them with their purchase while perusing items on the web.

Nike has trained over 50 members of Size? store staff across 14 locations in the UK and France to support the launch of the new proposition, which uses Hero’s online-to-store link-up software.

The service is marketed as a way of providing consumers with a personalised service, where they can receive real time product and stock availability information, as well as sizing guidance and styling advice without actually visiting the store.

Consumers visiting the Size.co.uk and Sizeofficial.fr websites can activate the service and connect with their local participating store by clicking the “Size? Experts” icon located in the right-hand corner of users’ screens when searching Nike products. Following this process, starts a live chat with a trained shop assistant.

In a blog, Hero said: “Size? Experts allows a chance for the online customer to see the finer details on Nike products, such as materials and colour – store staff will not only be able to message the customer, photo share and livestream products but can also allow the customer to book an appointment to meet their Size? Expert in store for further guidance.”

Harvey Nichols and Levi’s are among the retailers already working with Hero to bridge the gap between online and in-store shopping, using the software to link internet shoppers to shop assistants.
