NearSt wins Innovation Awards at RetailEXPO 2019

RetailEXPO has named NearSt the winner of its annual Innovation Awards.

The real-time local inventory start-up aims to help high-street retailers drive customers into store by opening up stock levels in individual shops. NearSt integrates with a retailer’s POS to identify available stock and then connects this information with local shoppers who are searching on their mobile in real-time.

Nick Brackenbury, co-founder & CEO of Near St, said: "It's incredible to be named among so many amazing tech companies as the winner of the RetailEXPO Innovation Award.  The high street presents such a lot of value that is just waiting to be unlocked, and our technology, bolstered by our recent partnership with Google, is helping retailers untap these opportunities. The award win is a testament to the team's hard work and dedication of realising our mission to get people back into the shops, and we look forward to being able to help more retailers do just that."

“At a time when the high street is having to re-invent itself to maintain shopper traffic, due in part to rising competition from online, the judges were impressed by NearSt’s technology, which uses a digital solution to solve a physical retail issue. By joining the dots between real-time local search and available product, it is delivering convenience back into bricks-and-mortar shopping experiences to support much needed footfall into stores and on to the high street,” added Matt Bradley, event director for RetailEXPO.

“The Innovation Awards are a hallmark of the very best-in-breed technologies that have the power to digitally transform retailing, and we congratulate NearSt for a well-deserved win in what was a highly competitive awards programme,” he concluded.

NearSt is exhibiting on stand 2A30 at RetailEXPO 2019.
