Ex-Monsoon tech director goes supplier side at OneStock

Former Debenhams and Monsoon-Accessorize technology leader, Andy Tudor, has joined France-based supplier OneStock to help grow its UK operation.

Tudor resigned from his role as technology and data director at Monsoon-Accessorize in February, and has started as omnichannel solutions and partnerships director at OneStock this week.

In the new role, Tudor will work directly with retailers to implement OneStock's technology, which enables businesses to open up their full inventory for online orders and simplify the ship-from-store process. He will also be responsible for establishing new external technology partners for the business.

His former employer is one of several mid-to-premium UK fashion retail businesses to have implemented OneStock’s ship from store technology in recent years. Others include Whistles, Radley, and – most recently – Ted Baker.

Tudor told Essential Retail he opted to go supplier side because he was keen to work for a start-up and understand how they function culturally and technologically. He also welcomes the opportunity to work with a variety of brands and help retailers get the most from their stores in a digital age.

“For me, it’s about helping them get the most of their high street presence,” he explained.

“OneStock provides a positive challenge to the economic viability of the store. It means that retailers can measure store performance in a different way, looking at how stores can contribute to online performance as well as serve their traditional role.”

Prior to joining Monsoon-Accessorize in 2016, Tudor was head of business systems at Debenhams. He also worked for Aurora Fashion group, and previously gained experience working supplier side as part of a TUPE process when the business outsourced IT support to Retail Assist.

Romulus Grigoras, CEO of OneStock, commented: “High street retailers require an intelligent omnichannel approach if they are to survive.

“Having worked across both sides of the retail technology industry, Andy has a unique perspective. His knowledge of the sector and pragmatic approach to the best strategic moves will resonate well with brands.”

Following Tudor's departure from Monsoon-Accessorize, David Callow has taken on the role as interim IT director.
