Korean supermarket Oseyo opens Charing Cross Road store

Korean food and culture hub brand Oseyo has opened its latest supermarket, on Charing Cross Road in part of the Central Cross development in Chinatown London. The brand already had several stores in London and Manchester, as well as a restaurant in Waterloo.

The latest branch is a 242 sq m (2,600 sq ft) supermarket, designed by an in-house team. It features a Korean pancake station – a new feature – along with a broad selection of popular Asian products, from branded foods and fresh ingredients to household appliances, Korean cosmetics, and the latest K-pop albums.

“With its position to Chinatown and fantastic footfall, we couldn’t think of a better location than Central Cross for our latest supermarket,” says Isaac Kweon, operations coordinator at Oseyo. “We are delighted to bring Korean food, music and culture to London’s West End, and with our new site, will offer even more products manufactured by the Oseyo brand, offering tourists, office workers and local Londoners an exciting new all-day grocers.”

“Oseyo’s eagerly anticipated launch has been a great success, with their modern Korean offer perfectly complementing Chinatown London’s current line-up of Asian supermarkets,” says Julia Wilkinson of property developer Shaftesbury, which manages Chinatown London.
