Gousto hires former Just Eat chief people officer to oversee recruitment

Gousto has poached chief people officer at The Restaurant Group, Lisa Hillier, to drive recruitment and business growth. Prior to her time at The Restaurant Group, Hillier held the same position at Just Eat, following several head of HR roles at companies including Betfair, Aviva and Ofcom.

Joining in mid-March this year as chief people officer, Hillier will take the lead of Gousto’s goal to hire 700 people in tech, data science and operations by the end of 2022. Hillier will be responsible for attracting world-class talent to the recipe box company, including roles with skills in data science, analytics, software engineering and supply chain.

She will report into CEO Timo Boldt and will be the seventh addition to the Gousto leadership team, alongside Jim Buckle, former COO at Feelunique, who joined the company as chief financial officer earlier this year.

Hillier said: “I’m excited to work for such a fast growing tech business with a brilliant group of people behind it. Timo’s ambition and care for his team is infectious, as is the passion of the entire leadership team. I have a huge drive to create value through the people agenda for Gousto and can’t wait to become a fully invested member of the C-Suite.”

Boldt added: “Nurturing and motivating our employees has always been at the heart of Gousto, so we are delighted to welcome Lisa to lead our people strategy. Lisa's experience and passion for scaling high-growth technology and food businesses is a perfect match for us.”
