Flux snares five new foodie partners for digital receipts

Digital receipt provider Flux has announced five new UK hospitality partnerships to end 2019 on a positive note.

Ed’s Easy Diner, Slim Chickens, Giraffe, Japan Centre, and Sakagura Steak Kitchen & Sake Bar have all signed up for the software which allows them to offer digital receipts to their customers with Monzo and Starling bank accounts. The tech allows them an opportunity to keep tabs on their spending digitally.

Almost 50 new foodie locations across the UK will now have the technology at the point of payment, following the latest round of partnership agreements. These deals also mark Flux’s debut in sit-down restaurants, and Japan Centre is the first boutique supermarket and homeware brand to adopt Flux’s technology.

Matty Cusden-Ross, CEO and founder of Flux, said: “We’re thrilled to finish off 2019 by introducing Flux to a whole host of new brands up and down the country.

“This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the way innovative technologies like Flux can deliver a seamless, one-touch experience for customers at check out – as well as benefit the planet by reducing the amount of paper waste created by receipts. It’s been great to see the level of interest in Flux from customers and retailers this year, and we can’t wait to share more updates in 2020.”

Nick Smith, commercial director at Boparan Restaurant Group, which owns Giraffe, Ed’s Easy Diner and Slim Chickens, added: “It’s great to be able to help our customers keep track of their spending – as well as helping the environment – and we’re looking forward to rolling out digital receipts to all of our brands in the future.”

Flux’s technology started rolling out across these premises today (18 December). Monzo and Starling customers who have got Flux activated will start to receive receipts when they shop at the participating restaurants, which include Giraffe in Cheshire Oaks, Ed’s Easy Diner in Birmingham Selfridges, Slim Chickens in London Bond Street, Japan Centre in Westfield Stratford, and Sakagura in London Mayfair.
