Expansion for retail design agency Play with new London office

Retail design agency Play is expanding, with the opening of a second office. The group’s original Cambridgeshire office will be joined by a new location in London’s Shoreditch as part of its growth plans for 2019.

Play works with clients in sectors including cosmetics, fashion, and consumer electronics, developing permanent and temporary displays, visual merchandising, and packaging. It employs a broad range of techniques, including virtual reality and augmented reality technology in its work.

“The expansion to Shoreditch comes at a pivotal time in Play’s growth,” says client services director James Dawson. “Our proximity to big international travel terminals like St Pancras and London airports will enable us to work more closely and collaboratively with our growing roster of both international and local clients. Our Shoreditch location also means we are at the centre of the thriving design scene, surrounded by creative inspiration and best practice from both big brands and independents.”

A London location will also allow the agency to access the wider talent pool of designers available in London, adds Dawson.
