Editor's round-up

It's been a fun, if hectic, few weeks at Essential Retail as we've opened up our website to the world and started our quest to bring you the latest fresh content and analysis from the retail solutions industry.

Over the last seven days I've spoken to a number of the leading lights in the business as the magazine has covered everything from the latest developments in mobile payments technology to the behind-the-scenes innovations being introduced to bring success to some of the UK's best-loved retailers.

This week, our big interview shines the spotlight on experienced retail executive Simon Burke, who talks exclusively to Essential Retail about the importance of connecting the physical retail experience to the digital. Currently chairman of bathroom specialist Bathstore, Burke reveals the retailer's latest plans for tech investment and has words of warning for those companies that have been slow to embrace mCommerce.
