Co-op members benefit from new loyalty app

Co-op has introduced a loyalty app for its membership customers. The app will allow the retailer’s 4.6 million members to track their reward balance and download weekly personalised vouchers to spend in store. The app launched to the public last week after a year-long trial period in 2018.

“It’s great to have finally launched the app and its new features after this intensive period of development. We put our members at the heart of everything we do, so getting their feedback on the app as early as possible was critical,” said Joel Godfrey, principal product manager at Co-op Digital.

“The 12-month testing period has enabled us to identify the features and functionality that will really matter to our members. The end result is just as we hoped – richer customer interactions, greater member satisfaction and now we can look at personalising those in-app user experiences.”

The retailer partnered with mobile technology company Apadmi to digitise its membership scheme. The vendor has also recently developed a digital repeat prescription service for Co-op.
