Boden strengthens US presence with Nordstrom partnership

Catalogue and online retailer Boden has announced its first US retail partnership for its womenswear, as it looks to expand its international presence.

The UK retailer’s lines for women are now available on the website and in select shops of department store chain Nordstrom, as part of an exclusive deal between the two companies.

Boden already has its own catalogue and website in the US, but the mainly digital partnership with Nordstrom is part of a push to raise its profile even further with one of the country’s largest retailers.

Jill Easterbrook, CEO of Boden, commented: "We are delighted that Nordstrom is our exclusive US retail partner.

“They have a great retail presence across America and a customer base that really aligns with our brand. Their customers have been shopping our children's range, Mini Boden, at Nordstrom for years. We are happy to extend the offering to our women's collection as well, offering new ways for the customer to shop Boden.”

Boden’s womenswear has been made available in 20 physical locations in total, including Nordstrom’s stores at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, Michigan Avenue in Chicago, and five shops in California.

Last year saw Boden open its first store in the UK when it opened the doors to a flagship venue on King’s Road in Chelsea, London. The Nordstrom womenswear partnership also comes exactly one year to the day Easterbrook took over as CEO.
