Acuitis rolls out 40 stories nationwide

Acuitis is planning over 40 stores across the UK following a concept trial in Tottenham Court Road, Milton Keynes and Oxford.

Working with retail design agency, Blackdog, the French optician will roll its brand out across the UK over the next two years. Acuitis is already known on the continent with 60 stores in Italy, Spain, France and Luxembourg.

Blackdog will supply the retailer’s design, in-store communication, digital marketing and out-of-home advertising, after a brief to create an optical “fashion brand” to challenge the market leaders Specsavers and Vision Express.

Acuitis, sells its own brand designer frames, created by eyewear designer Frederic Beausoleil at his Paris studio.

"We want Acuitis to become a real challenger in the opticians and hearing market within the next two years, and Blackdog’s expertise is helping us to understand the gaps in the sector, educating and increasing the awareness of hearing health and amplifying our points of difference to make us relevant to a wider customer base in the UK,” says Anna Thomas, Acuitis retail operations director.
