RBTE Bootcamp: iVend Retail on the benefits of single view of stock

RBTE 2016 is running a series of Retailer Bootcamps at London Olympia on 9-10 March 2016, following its successful eCommerce Bootcamps in 2015.

Held over two days for an audience made up exclusively of retailers, these are highly practical workshop sessions which will provide attendees with hands-on advice for every element of the customer journey. Attendees are able to learn about a subject and then go away and implement what they've learnt.

Each of the nine sessions – hosted by nine different companies – will be repeated on both days of the expo. So what can we expect from iVend Retail's session? Essential Retail caught up with the retail technology business to find out...

What is the subject of your RBTE bootcamp?

Our topic is: The omnichannel opportunity: How to drive higher sales using a 360-degree view of the customer and a single view of stock.

What does today's digitally-enabled shopper want from the physical store? More than they're currently getting: iVend Retail research of 1,000 European shoppers has revealed. 40% of customers expect to be disappointed by the in-store experience while over half (56%) would like retailers to have one view of them, whether they shop in-store or online.

Drawing on key findings from the research – which discovered that omnichannel is an omni-illusion for many business – this session will look at key challenges relating to bricks-and-mortar, including consistency across channels, personalisation, loyalty and fulfilment.

Presented by retailers for retailers, attendees will receive insights on how to boost store performance through a 360-degree view of the customer and a single view of stock. This will be accompanied by several short demonstrations showing how technology can help retailers achieve their omnichannel goals.

What are the top five themes you are looking to address during the session

Why should retailers attend your bootcamp at RBTE?

The majority of sales still happen offline, but consumer demands are rapidly evolving and the store is proving the most difficult to unite within a connected retail experience. Responding to shoppers' rising expectations is a pressing issue for retailers, as they must provide a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints, while maintaining and increasing profits and margins.

This bootcamp looks at what constitutes a successful omnichannel model and how integrating logistics, business processes, operations and personnel holds the key to creating consistent customer service, and greater shopper satisfaction, regardless of channel.

This bootcamp is highly relevant for:
