House of Fraser introduces new premium delivery options

Department store chain House of Fraser is now offering its customers two premium next-day delivery options - pre-noon and afternoon.

The retailer says the new delivery services complement its existing pre 9am and evening options, adding that they have been introduced to provide shoppers will further flexibility when purchasing goods with the company.

The pre noon service allows customers to order by 9pm for their package to be delivered between 9am and midday, Monday to Saturday. The afternoon option, meanwhile, offers an order placed by 9pm to be delivered between 12pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

House of Fraser's new offering comes as customer fulfilment continues to be a major battelground for retailers across various sectors. Indeed, the recent JDA/Centiro Customer Pulse Report 2015 shows that in the last year, 46% of UK adults chose to buy from a retailer offering a choice of delivery options over one with just a single type available.

Andy Harding, chief customer officer at House of Fraser, said: "We are continually researching new options and investing in expanding our delivery services to make customers' buying experiences as hassle-free as possible.

"The latest development in our delivery proposition strengthens our market-leading position. We're proud to offer our customers a flexible and truly premium home-delivery service."
