RBTE organiser launches Retail Digital Signage Expo

Legend Exhibitions, the organiser of RBTE and Retail Design Expo (RDE), has launched the Retail Digital Signage Expo.

The new event, which will run alongside the two larger shows at London's Olympia on 9-10 March 2016, will feature an entire range of screens and kiosk suppliers, as well as providers of content management, networking solutions and other media patforms. The aim is to provide a one-stop shop for digital signage and screens, with the vendor exhibition set to be boosted by a number of related retailer presentations as part of the wider RBTE and RDE conference programmes.

Retail Digital Signage's launch compliments what is already the largest European gathering of retailers, brand owners, agencies, designers and more – all of whom are looking for solutions, ideas and inspirations to implement in their businesses.

Annie Swift, event director for RDE, said: "This is the event that the retail industry has been waiting for! We are embracing the booming digital signage market."

Grand View Research suggests that the prospects for the global digital signage market  are bright, with the sector estimated to be worth $13.25 billion and expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.1% between 2014 to 2020.

"The retail sector makes up the largest proportion of this spend and is where the greatest investment is forecast to be made in the name of customer engagement where screens come into their own," Swift explained.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for exhibitors. We had a readymade audience of over 12,000 visitors who visited RBTE and RDE this March including all the key decision makers and influencers for this type of investment – within retail it is the teams from marketing, IT, design/format, eCommerce, operations and visual merchandising."

She added: "In addition there are thousands of brand marketers, design agencies, architects and shopfitters who recommend and specify screens solutions.

"Never before have so many of all the key retail digital signage stakeholders been together in the same place at the same time."
