Welcome Break ups its game with digital menus

Motorway service station operator Welcome Break has rolled out new digital signage across its UK estate.

Restaurant concessions Papa John's, Harry Ramsden's and Tossed are among the companies to receive new digital menus, which display up-to-date menus and pricing, special offers and promotional videos.

Cloud-based digital signage technology provider Signagelive has provided the power behind the installation, which comprises 90 LG webOS Smart displays at 16 Welcome Break venues throughout the UK. The new digital signage solution has been supplied and installed by Saville Audio Visual.

The displayed content is created and managed by different media agencies on behalf of the concessions and uploaded and stored on the Signagelive platform, which means there is no need for onsite media players and storage servers.

Signagelive's system-on-a-chip software supports multiple content formats including static images, streaming video, IPTV, web pages and RSS feeds. It also integrates with QR code technology and widgets from the largest social media platforms.
