RBTE organiser launches international retail franchising event

Bookings are now being taken for the International Retail Franchising Summit (IRFS), the latest event brought to the retail industry by RBTE parent company, Legend.

The one-day programme, which will be held alongside RBTE at London Olympia on 11 March, is designed to provide strategic and practical ideas to help retailers succeed when expanding internationally via the franchising route.

International growth and franchising are high on many retailers' agendas, and the new summit aims to cover all the critical areas businesses must know if they are to be successful when entering new territories.

Retail franchising experts who are set to speak at the event include representatives from Mothercare, Debenhams, Monsoon Accessorize and The White Company. The speakers will cover all the pertinent issues in international franchising, such as 'Driving Franchise Profits Though Effective Country Choices', 'Partnership Strategies and Successful Localisation Strategies', 'Implementing Key Strategies To Help You Grow Your International Franchise Business' and 'What Will International Franchising Strategy Look Like In 2017?'

International expansion can be fraught with risks, and there are multiple examples of major retailers exiting countries after failed ventures away from their home territory. On the flip side, global growth also offers huge opportunities for retailers looking to raise revenue. The summit will feature the advice of many top retailers who have grown successfully through franchising over the years, and they will provide an insight into the various legal, financial and logistical considerations that need to be made.
