RBTE 2015 exhibitor spotlight: Cegid

Retail software and systems provider Cegid has appeared at every RBTE since the show launched in 2011 and will be back again in 2015, saying the show's seminar sessions offer "practical insight on how retailers are evolving and shaping their strategy".

The company, which recently announced an update of its retail management system, will be participating in the two-day event at London Olympia between 10-11 March 2015.

Essential Retail caught up with Samir Belkhayat, UK director at Cegid, to find out more about the company's plans for the show.

Why have you booked for RBTE 2015?

RBTE is a great opportunity for us to discover the latest retail innovations and of course generate new business. The seminar sessions are key as they provide practical insight on how retailers are evolving and shaping their strategy to meet the ever-changing demands of their customers.

What new technology will you be displaying at RBTE 2015, and why is it relevant?

Cegid will be showcasing the latest in merchandising, mobile point of sale, omnichannel, CRM and clienteling solutions for speciality retailers. We'll also have our international team on hand to give retailers practical advice on successful global expansion strategies and country-specific localisations.

The challenge for speciality retailers today is to provide a unique, personalised shopping experience that keeps customers coming back. One size fits all just won't cut it anymore, which is why retailers are looking to implement advanced mobility, CRM and clienteling solutions to personalise each customer's experience. We'll demonstrate how we can help local and global speciality retailers achieve this.

Name some of the retailers that you are currently working alongside?

Cegid has more than 1,000 customers worldwide, including: Gant, Ted Baker, Delsey, L'Occitane, Quiz, Asics, and Barbour.

Ted Baker, the fast-growing British designer brand, is using Cegid's PoS and merchandising solution, Yourcegid Retail, to help support its expansion in Asia, the US and Canada.

Dustan Steer, Ted Baker’s IT director, said: "We chose to work with Cegid because of its expertise in fashion and its international reach. Cegid is present in all the local markets we operate in and the software is highly flexible, giving local support in the relevant languages and lots of specific tools already configured for each region.

"Following local regulations is one of the greatest challenges in Asia, so Cegid proved to be a one-stop shop for our overseas activity."

Which types of retailer and which job functions are you hoping to meet with at RBTE 2015, and why?

We're hoping to meet senior-level decision makers from Europe's most prestigious speciality retail brands.

Visitors to RBTE 2015 can meet with Cegid at Stand 550.
