RBTE bolsters sales team as retail show continues to grow

European retail solutions show RBTE (pictured, below) has made some strategic new appointments, as its organisers work towards producing their fifth annual event in 2015.

Parent company Legend Exhibitions expects next year's event, which will take place at London's Olympia on 10-11 March, to be its biggest yet – and it has brought in a number of new recruits to support the show's growth.

Delia Manole has joined the company as senior sales executive to form part of a burgeoning sales team. She joins sales manager Hannah Armstrong and senior sales executive John Blackley on the RBTE commercial team, both of whom arrived at the business in March.

Matt Bradley, who previously headed up the sales team, has been promoted to event director, replacing Nick Field who has been named managing director of Legend.

Commenting on the new business structure, John Bednall, CEO of Legend Exhibitions, said: "Matt has worked on RBTE since its launch – he sold the first stand and has enjoyed great success in his role as sales director, growing the show by over 250% in this time.

"He has an extensive knowledge of the industry and his network of contacts is enviable. His passion, enthusiasm and leadership skills means he can contribute to all aspects of RBTE and is a very safe pair of hands to take the show forward to fulfil its immense potential."

Bednall added: "We are also very pleased to welcome Delia to our expanding sales team.

"She is joining the company at a very exciting time as we go into RBTE 2015 with a record rebook, as well new launches in the pipeline."

New initiatives at Legend include Retail Business Exchange, a networking event for the retail industry which was officially announced last week. Running from 12-13 November 2014 at the 4-star Runnymede on Thames Hotel, exclusively invited retailers will have an opportunity to network and hear presentations from senior industry figures.

The education programme will feature retail CEOs, practical workshops and business matching with carefully selected solution providers. Former Kingfisher CEO and British Retail Consortium CEO Sir Geoff Mulcahy has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the first evening, with more senior industry figures set to be confirmed in due course.
