VIDEO: Amazon testing drone-led delivery service

Jeff Bezos, CEO of leading online retailer Amazon, announced this weekend that his company is testing a new delivery service using drones that would allow customers to receive items via air within 30 minutes of placing an order.

Commenting on the CBS '60 Minutes' show, Bezos said that the Amazon Prime Air service is the latest invention from the online business's research and development team, but it would need a change in the law for the solution to be made a reality.

Rather than technological capability, it appears that it is the rules set by the Federal Aviation Administration that would block air delivery of this type from currently taking place.
