Ex-Oracle and SAP director to drive Kenshoo growth

Digital marketing technology business Kenshoo has appointed experienced retail technology exec Rob Coyne as managing director for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.

The company is planning to make key hires in Germany, and it also has expansion plans for central Europe and Scandinavia. The UK and France, which have reportedly been strong markets for Kenshoo in the past, will also receive additional focus.

Coyne has 25 years of IT sector experience, having most recently held the positions of director of database, technology & business analytics at SAP UK and regional sales director at Oracle.

“With search and social channels becoming more and more vital for companies looking to win and retain customers, the market for our technology is growing rapidly,” he explained.

“To maximise this opportunity for our clients, Kenshoo is now entering the next phase of its development with a significant investment programme in EMEA, including a recruitment drive across sales, technical and support functions.”

The Kenshoo platform is used by brands and agencies to optimise search marketing, social media and online advertising. The company, which has worked with the likes of UK grocer Tesco in the past, is backed by Sequoia Capital, Arts Alliance and Tenaya Capital.
