Dessert parlour Dyce aims at the Instagram generation

Interiors at dessert parlour Dyce have been inspired by youthfulness and the surrealist art of Salvador Dali, to create an ‘instagrammable’ venue for the brand’s first permanent branch.

Design group Formroom used three brand pillars – that Dyce be approachable, unexpected, and immersive – to create the format.

The space reflects a conceptual take on dessert ingredients, including bubble tea and melting ice cream, to create ‘a moment of childlike escapism balanced with a contemporary edge’.

Bubble tea-inspired cocoon chairs and amphitheatre-style seats provide space for different types of visitors, from solo visitors to families.

On-trend pink, bold shapes and textures, and pastel shades all seek to grab attention on social media channels.

“This is a place where people can escape the real world and enjoy a moment of joy away from the everyday,” says Dyce founder Zahra Khan.
