Loss prevention and stock management solutions company Nedap Retail is returning to RBTE, and it will be showcasing its range of products at the two-day event at London Olympia between 9-10 March 2016.

Essential Retail caught up with Phil George, UK head of retail at Nedap Retail, to find out more about the company and its plans for the spring show.

Why have you booked for RBTE 2016?

2016 will be our third year at RBTE. We have really seen this show grow and develop into one of the must-attend events for retailers. It is a great platform for us to demonstrate to leading retailers how our EAS and RFID solutions can be used as a key driver to permanently lower the shrinkage levels, prevent stock outs and increase sales.

What new technology will you be displaying at RBTE 2016, and why is it relevant?

The key solutions presented are the !Sense hardware portfolio and the !D Cloud software suite. These solutions enable retailers to permanently lower their shrinkage levels and significantly improve their on-shelf merchandise availability. Nedap’s !Sense portfolio includes RF/RFID antennas for electronic article surveillance (EAS) and in-store merchandise tracking.

The !D Cloud software platform is a software as a service solution specifically developed for retail applications, enabling retailers to quickly implement RFID and improve their in-store stock accuracy to over 98%. !D Cloud translates the collected data from RFID readers into comprehensive lists that highlight the out-of-stocks and overstocks. Thereby, the causes of stock differences can be identified and dealt with more quickly.

With our RFID solutions, we enable retailers to achieve greater stock file accuracy, which leads to accurate replenishment, improved merchandise availability and increased sales and margin.

Name some of the retailers that you are currently working alongside?

We work alongside leading retail clients H&M, Calzedonia, River Island, Dunelm, Tesco and Superdrug. We believe that retailers shouldn’t have to worry about managing their in-store technology solutions – they just need the tools to deliver great customer service on all sales channels.

What's the best customer service you've experienced this year?

I buy cycling equipment off a website called SportPursuit. If I have a problem they respond very quickly and very effectively.
