Technology mounting, mobility and security business Ergonomic Solutions is now offering its products to the warehousing and distribution (W&D) sector.

Its SpacePole range, which is typically deployed by retailers to hold and display point-of-sale equipment in stores, has been extended for usage behind the scenes. The equipment can be used as mounting solutions for technology in a range of fork lift, reach truck, collection and delivery trolley applications.

In situations where businesses require a fixed mounting for their technology, such as goods in and out, Ergonomic says its products can interface with existing racking systems.

Mark Crysell, product marketing director at Ergonomic Solutions, commented: "Technology that is driving change in that sector, such as the use of tablets and touchscreen based applications has also transformed the warehouse & distribution workspace.

"SpacePole Essentials W&D unlocks the potential of that technology by providing a wide range of mobile and static mounting options that maximise investment whilst providing the best possible user interface for the worker wherever they are operating within the Warehouse & Distribution workspace."

Last month, the Ergonomic Solutions Group announced that SpacePole has opened for business in North America by bringing in-house the operational assets of the SpacePole distribution business of long-time partner, Seamark International.

Under the terms of the arrangement, Seamark will continue to operate with its other interests, products and services, as normal. The agreement comes as the group looks to tap into the market growth prospects in the US where the retail sector is embarking on the implementation process for Chip & PIN credit and debit card payment systems.

Speaking of the launch, Ian Dewar, Ergonomic Solutions Group president for North America and managing director, said: "This agreement will allow our organisation to better meet the needs of our customers by being able to offer enhanced local customer support and services.

"Introducing US-based assembly will in turn reduce lead and shipping times, and will allow us to develop our channel business and enhance our support for existing customers and partners."

Ergonomic Solutions will be exhibiting at RBTE 2016, which takes place at London Olympia on 9-10 March 2016. Click here to register for your free event ticket.
