Technology solutions company Follow Inspiration is returning to RBTE, and it will be showcasing its range of products at the two-day event at London Olympia between 9-10 March 2016.

Essential Retail caught up with Ricardo Silva, CMO at Follow Inspiration, to find out more about the company and its plans for the spring show.

Why have you booked for RBTE 2016?

RBTE is the most important retail event in Europe. After an excellent feedback from our presence in 2014, we’re back to RBTE to launch our new product and grab the attention of the most important ratail decision makers.

What new technology will you be displaying at RBTE 2016, and why is it relevant?

This year we’re launching an innovative technology, our extraordinary wiiGO, an autonomous and self-driven shopping cart.

Customer in-store experience is one of the hottest topics and concerns among retailers. The wiiGO clearly sets a new paradigm regarding mobility on commercial surfaces. It can be used by people with or without reduced mobility, helping them to transport their purchases in an easy and safe way

Name some of the retailers that you are currently working alongside?

We’re currently working with one of the main retail companies in Portugal and negotiating the implementation of the wiiGO with retail companies in France and Germany.

What's the best customer service you've experienced this year?

We’ve seen interesting augmented reality applications on stores, which provide additional help of products (their origin, for instance). Other interesting mobile experiences are currently being tested in some Portuguese supermarkets. As a very good example, Youbeep, developed by Xhockware, lets the user manage the entire shopping process.
