Billabong's drive to grow its international business has see it turn to US-based software company JustEnough for a new planning system.

The fashion brand is transitioning from planning regionally using manual, spreadsheet-based processes to using one demand planning system globally, and the new software suite will be rolled out across the company in order to consolidate, automate and streamline its operations in wholesale, retail and eCommerce.

JustEnough, which is a confirmed sponsor for this year's Buying & Merchandising Summit, is promising Billabong that its systems will increase inventory turns and visibility, improve customer service levels while minimising inventory and enhance planning capability.

Billabong's move to NetSuite was announced at the software company's annual SuiteWorld event in San Jose, earlier this year. Using the SuiteCommerce package is expected to provide Billabong with a scalable order management solution that will allow it to utilise its inventory more effectively and increase agility within its business to keep up with fast-changing consumer demands.

SuiteCommerce is a single unified cloud-based platform, and NetSuite says the package will – among other things – help Billabong's store sales staff offer a more personalised shopping experience via mobile devices and provide the retailer with real-time stock inventory.
