Cards Galore has unveiled its new mobile-friendly website, in the wake of Google changing its search algorithms to favour sites that offer smooth experiences on smartphones and tablets.

The greetings card retailer has also opted to re-design its eCommerce offering and place a stronger focus on integrating its social media pages on the site, as it expects it will soon need to cater for growing demand from customers who want to purchase items via their social media accounts.

Designed and developed by Creatives Inc and Leicester Web Designers, the new-look site has the duel aim of growing sales and providing shoppers with a better experience of the Cards Galore brand. The retailer is looking to Twitter and Pinterest as its key social platforms for customer engagement.

Lizzie O'Grady from Creatives Inc commented: "I've been working with Cards Galore in a creative capacity over the last five years, and when it came to upgrading their site – linking sales with social media – it was important that their offline vision was recognised online.

"And I'm pleased to say the three-way project achieved this well and was a success from start to finish."

Cards Galore operates almost 50 stores around the UK, predominantly in London. It also runs shops in Manchester, Leeds, Oxford, Brighton, Reading and Glasgow.
