Online queue system company Queue-it is new to RBTE for 2015, and will be showcasing its range of products at the two-day event at London Olympia between 10-11 March 2015.

Essential Retail caught up with Camilla Ley Valentin, CCO and co-founder at Queue-it, to find out more about the company and its plans for the spring show.

Why have you booked for RBTE 2015?

Queue-it is excited to attend RBTE 2015 for the first time to further introduce the Queue-it online queue system to the market and to interact closer with potential customers. Queue-it seems to be a good fit to exhibit at Europe’s biggest and fastest growing retail solutions show, as the Queue-it solution helps retailers improve webshop performance and customer experience while simultaneously retaining revenue and overall webshop integrity.

What new technology will you be displaying at RBTE 2015, and why is it relevant?

Queue-it is an online queue system for managing website overload during extreme user peaks. By adding the Queue-it queuing system to your website, users exceeding your site capacity limits are offloaded to the queue system. The volume and pace of user inflow to your website is managed dynamically in the browser-based self-service console. As your site capacity opens up, the users who waited in line are redirected back to your site in the correct order and pace.

As an online retailer, you are probably already aware of the lost revenue and customer frustration associated with the experience of a slow or unavailable webshop. To make matters even worse, this often happens during peak times such as a holiday sale or a particularly attractive campaign. Handling these extreme user peaks is no trivial challenge from an IT perspective.

The business consequences are serious, and include customer frustration, lost revenue, lost customers and negative online exposure. Research shows that poor performance and traffic management during peak times directly impact business results, as 78% of customers went to a competitor’s site due to poor performance at peak times. After a poor experience, 88% are less likely to return to a website, 47% left with a negative perception of the company, and 42% discussed it either with friends or online. Queue-it can dramatically improve these numbers for your webshop.

Which retailers are you currently working alongside?

Queue-it currently works with retailers such as Toys R Us, Lilly Pulitzer, de Bijenkorf, Orange, EE, Censosud, Tickets.com, T-Mobile, and Dixons.

Which types of retailer and which job functions are you hoping to meet with at RBTE 2015, and why?

Queue-it can be applied to any type of retail webshop, especially one that runs high-interest campaigns or experiences end-user overloads. At RBTE 2015, Queue-it seeks to meet with operations managers, IT managers, eCommerce managers, and software developers, among others.

Visitors to RBTE 2015 can meet with Queue-it at Stand 654.
