Direct Golf is utilising a new management training tool that gives sales staff their own digital dashboard to monitor performance.

The social media-style technology provided by San Francisco-based tech company Myagi can be accessed on PC, tablet or mobile and fine-tuned to an individual organisation's needs. Direct Golf's team managers can access the system to analyse employee activity and reward success accordingly.

Myagi's software also allows retailers to link up with their suppliers to ensure information about products is stored in one single portal, and much of the training – be it in-house or from suppliers – is hosted in video format.

Myagi offers retailers an interactive dashboard to monitor their in-house training and to boost their product knowledge

Managing director of the retailer, Neil Bell, said: "Direct Golf has always been committed to ensuring its staff have the most up-to-date product knowledge to ensure customers get the right advice about the right product at the right time.

"The Myagi platform will help us deliver effective training to our sales team, drive more sales in our stores, and connect with our brands and suppliers in a new and innovative way. They can share product information seamlessly and communicate with us quickly and effectively, enabling our stores and staff to act as their ambassadors in a consistent way."

Direct Golf, which now operates 21 stores across the UK, unveiled a new look eCommerce site in the spring and is planning on doubling the size of its store network over the next three years.
