White Stuff has launched a transactional website specifically for the German market.

The eCommerce site, which is in the German language, also offers a localised online experience after researching domestic preferences.

The site launched at the end of May and is managed in-house by White Stuff. The retailer has recruited a number of German-speaking roles across the business, including four people in customer service, and will take advantage of the company's digital and offline marketing functionalities.

Head of eCommerce, Ben Mercier, said: "As a multichannel player with two stand-alone shops in Germany already and a roster of further shops opening in the next 12 months, a German website seemed like a natural progression, enabling us to market products locally, in the native language and currency."

The website features all the same capabilities as the UK's site, including delivery and returns. Orders will be shipped from the UK in two days, but the retailer has chosen a German location to facilitate returned goods.

Last year, the fashion retailer reported strong growth from its online business which increased 36.5% year-on-year. The retailer put this growth for its financial year ending May 2015, down to its multichannel strategy, improved delivery options and investment in marketing.
