Global technology and software business Microsoft is advertising its cloud services on the Towers@T5 digital screens at London's Heathrow airport.

Microsoft is the launch partner for the new digital marketing platform that offers brands significant exposure to consumers at the UK travel hub's busiest terminal. The 700 sq m multi-screen platform is positioned to be seen by all departing and transferring passengers at the airport.

The campaign was planned and booked with out-of-home (OOH) advertising company JCDecaux's airport arm by Empowering Media and Dentsu Aegis OOH. JCDecaux is confident that Towers@T5 will be sought-after advertising space among a variety of brands.

Alan Sullivan, managing director of JCDecaux Airport, said the facility "demonstrates once again how the airport is at the cutting edge of digital OOH innovation".

Heathrow's retail director Jonathan Coen added: "As Britain's hub airport, connecting more than 70 million passengers across the globe every year, it's no surprise that the world's premier brands have recognised the power of advertising at Heathrow.

"We are delighted to welcome Microsoft to Terminal 5's newest installation."

Meanwhile, fashion retailer Reiss has unveiled a new store concept at Terminal 5. The retailer has used the airport to showcase a new store design that will be replicated in new stores opening in Toronto, Canada and New York's Westfield WTC, as well as a selection of the retailer's UK store portfolio in the months ahead.
